Cyriel Dessers believes Rangers can only get better after Sunday’s victory at Livingston.

The Nigeria international opened scoring for the Light Blues in the 2-0 win.

The visitors also had two goals disallowed in the game, with captain James Tavenier missing a first half penalty.

Rangers are now unbeaten in the league under new manager Philippe Clement.

Dessers believes Clement would turn the Gers into a winning machine.

“The gaffer’s style of play suits the characteristics of the team and the players we have which is a really good thing.

“These last few weeks we have been growing and getting better and I think this is just the beginning.

“He wants us to become a machine and hopefully we can grow to that standard.”

Dessers has scored four times in the league for Rangers this season.

Meanwhile, Taiwo Awoniyi was on the scoresheet for Nottingham Forest in their 3-2 loss to West Ham in the English Premier League (EPL) on Sunday.

The 26-year-old made the scoreline one-all after Lucas Paqueta had given West Ham the lead in the third minute.

Awoniyi was at the right place in time to turn in Morgan Gibbs-White’s parried shot into an empty net.

The goal was the Ilorin-born striker’s fourth goal of the season after a spell on the sideline with recurring injuries.
